🌿 Our Story

It all started in a small kitchen, with a recipe that was never written down. My grandmother (Nani) named Mishri (nickname: Masiya-bai) had a way of making chai that felt different — richer, warmer, and somehow comforting in a way you couldn’t quite explain. It wasn’t just tea; it was a ritual. The aroma filled the house, conversations slowed down, and every cup felt like home. Everybody in the house liked different flavors: some liked it with more Elaichi, some with more Ginger, some with Lemongrass. Nani crafted different masala mixes to sooth everyone's pallet.

Over time, we realized something surprising. India has 50 crore+ chai drinkers, yet most people are still drinking plain chai — or at best, with inconsistent homemade blends or generic single flavored chai masalas created by Indian Masala Brands. Despite chai being such a deep part of our culture, there are barely any brands focused on high-quality, consistent, flavored chai masala.

That’s where the idea for Masiya-Chai Masala Co. was born. We didn’t want to create just another product. We wanted to unbox a feeling — the warmth, the nostalgia, and the richness of a perfectly brewed cup, inspired by a recipe that had already stood the test of time.
